![]() ![]() When Voracidous has fallen, he'll drop some pretty rare loot such as Legendary Class Mods and Seraph Crystals to use at the shop located in the Hunters's Grotto lodge. The shockwave is easily capable of bringing you into Fight For Your Life mode, even with a powerful shield. Jumping at a specific moment may allow you to avoid the damage. The Shockwave can reach nearly all the way across the battlefield. If you're using turrets, the shield bubble can protect you from the ground shockwave he produces. By this point, you'll want to have the shield gone so Voracidous is easily taken down. When Voracidous' health reaches about twenty five percent, he will mutate to his second form. They can help you take down some of the shield, however if he is without it, they'll make mincemeat of him relatively swiftly so you'll want to eliminate them as fast as possible. This is only helpful when the shield is attached to him and not Voracidous. These little guys will ignore you for the most part and attack Chief Ngwatu. To top things off, whenever the shields are switched betweem Chief Ngwatu and Voracidous, Savage Murderers will spawn from the four totem poles in the corners of the arena. There is no way to avoid Voracidous mutating if not. ![]() Keeping Chief Ngwatu alive (Albeit a nuisance) is best while attempting to bring down their shield. But If you kill the chief, Voracidous will erupt and grow, making him larger and much more powerful. ![]() However without the shield Chief Ngwatu is easily killed due to his low health count. While the shield is on Voracidous, the shield is easier to bring down. That's the cue he's switching the shield over to Voracidous. Pay attention because when you see Chief Ngwatu stop attacking, a ball of blue light will flare from his staff. The shield these two share is pretty powerful and will take a lot of damage before finally leaving them vulnerable. The Chief will carry it first, leaving Voracidous' health vulnerable. If you notice at the start of the fight, Chief Ngwatu and Voracidous share a shield. The Chief acts more like a Psycho bandit that chases after you. He will only attack after you have initiated the battle by landing the first hit.Īlmost immediately after Voracidous begins his attack, a giant Savage called Chief Ngwatu appears. If you pay close attention to the movements of Voracidous' head, you'll notice that it follows the player. When you first encounter him, he'll be standing in one place and will not attack until you make the first move. Voracidous is a giant stalker, or advertised to be as large as a small building. The main quest line of the new campaign add-on must be completed in order to obtain this mission from Sir Hammerlock in the Hunter's Grotto Lodge. I'm thinking you'll be able to try to kill him as many times as you want until you either kill him or end the play session, unlike Hyperious and Master Gee, but I haven't tried yet.Voracidous the Invincible is a Raid Boss made available in Borderlands 2 via the Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt downloadable add-on. Once all four are activated a switch can be pulled to spawn several waves of savages to fight, then, after killing them, you'll spawn Dexiduous the Invincible. It seems the "active" state of the ovens spans across play sessions too, if you save and quit the same totems are active/inactive (I think I noticed this, can anyone confirm?). So it sounds like it costs just under 100 Eridium to activate them all (though if you have party members you can split the cost). The level of the initial area is set when Hunter's Grotto is first visited, but in Normal Mode is at least 30 and at most 35. It was released on January 15th, 2013 for PC & Xbox 360, and the following day for PS3. The final wave consists of two Super Badass Witch Doctors and several Badass Savages, and once they are killed, Dexiduous the Invincible will rise from the lake south of the switch. Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt, by Gearbox Software and Triptych Games, is the third campaign DLC released for Borderlands 2. ![]() The lever requires no additional cost to activate, and once pulled, will begin to spawn waves of increasingly difficult savages. Once all totems have been activated, the final step is to throw the lever located just west of the lodge. The Eridium totems/furnaces/ovens are used to spawn Dexiduous the Invincible the hidden raid boss of Sir Hammerlock's DLC. ![]()
